Mission statement
The goal of the French Deaf Aviators Association (aeroclub-sourds) is to promote and develop, for deaf and hard-of-hearing people in France and in Europe, the right to participate in aeronautical activities such as airplanes and ultralights (ULM), gliders, hot-air balloons and hang-gliders, as well as parachuting and skydiving.
aeroclub-sourds is the first of its kind and the only deaf and hard-of-hearing aviator association in Europe.
It is also the French chapter of the International Deaf Pilots Association (IDPA).
