Introduction

The Board members are elected by the General Assembly on March 4, 2000, at Aéro-Club de France in Paris:

President :
Henri Corderoy du Tiers. Born in 1959. European deaf pilots representative with IDPA and IAOPA. Private Pilot (American license - 730 flight hours) and Ultralight Motorized Pilot (French license - 25 flight hours)

Secretary :
Olivier Cordier. Born in 1967. Ultralight Motorized Student Pilot (20 flight hours)

     

Treasurer :
Born in 1967. Ultralight Motorized and Aicraft Student Pilot (few flight hours).

     

Communication Consultant :
Victor Abbou (born in 1948). Born in 1948. French Sign Language Interpreter Training Instructor.

Skyidiving Committee :
Thierry de Gramont. Born in 1958. 200 jumps (French skydiver license), hang-gliding.

Mission statement

The goal of the French Deaf Aviators Association (aeroclub-sourds) is to promote and develop, for deaf and hard-of-hearing people in France and in Europe, the right to participate in aeronautical activities such as airplanes and ultralights (ULM), gliders, hot-air balloons and hang-gliders, as well as parachuting and skydiving.

aeroclub-sourds is the first of its kind and the only deaf and hard-of-hearing aviator association in Europe.

It is also the French chapter of the International Deaf Pilots Association (IDPA).
